So time to pay for the room my husband hands her his comdata card which he has used at every hotel he has stayed at across the US (he is a transport driver). Of course the lady takes forever to get the info in, now there are 2 other people waiting to be helped. She hands us back the card and his license. Gives us the room keys and tells us to enjoy our stay. At 1130pm as we are almost sound asleep the room phone rings. It's the lady and apparently she can't figure out the card and says the system keeps denying it (there is over $1000 on the card). So my husband goes to the front to explain to her how the card works, that is must be typed in not Swiped and she refuses to listen to him. All that to say CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS, ROOMS ARE NOTHINF SPECIAL AND PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS DON'T BOTHER STOPPING HERE FOR THE NIGHT.
Problem with air conditioner not holding temperature and fan coming on and off during the night instead of continuous run. Bathrom sink drained very slowly to none.
This place has gone down the drain! First, they put us in a room with 1 king bed, when our reservation clearly showed we asked for 2 beds, 4 adults. Then they wanted to charge us more for their mistake. They tried to kick my 85 year old father in law out of the room they put him in, with all of his oxygen equipment. Also threatened to "lock his son out of his room". Water standing in the bathtub with bugs! Faucet pulls out of wall when you try to turn on the shower. Power went out & stayed out for a couple hours during the night, so no a/c. Waffle mix was soured & uneatable. Attendant "cooking" breakfast rolled her eyes when asked for anything. Awful! Have stayed here several times in years past, but apparently new management? Never again!
No parking for big trucks bed was comfortable rates a little high for being in middle of weak good breakfasts

Bowie Best Western is fabulous. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was clean, smell free and the beds were great. I would highly recommend a stay here.
